As most Singaporeans know, Hair for Hope is a event that happens every year in July. Hair for Hope is a event under the Children's Cancer Foundation that helps raise funds and awareness of childhood cancer. The main event is always held at Vivo City, no doubt, this year too! And it's their 12th consecutive year this year! You can read more about it here!

To honour my words in giving back to the community, I'm organising a satellite event at Jurong Spring Community center (JSCC) this year. This is to help ease the congestion at the main event at Vivo City and to encourage more people to participate in this event in their neighbourhood.

Many middle aged people are not internet savvy, and are often not aware of how to register online and having to queue for hours for walk-in registration usually turn people away from it. Organising the satellite event in JSCC will allow more people to participate in this event at their convenience.

I'll be organising this event with JSCC, I've already communicate with Grace Ong, the executive, communications of Children's Cancer Foundation and Elvis, a member of Jurong Spring V2. The event will be held between May and June, most probably on a Sunday, date will be confirmed when registration starts. T shirt and goodies bag will be given to registered shavee.

As it is my first time organising a public event, I'm looking for 2-3 people to help me out with this event. Do note it will be held at JSCC (nearest MRT station is Lakeside) If you wish to be a part of this, feel free to email me at cosmicroses@hotmail.com

Last year, there's a total of 7,316 shavees and a donation of more than $4.3million. I hope this year more people will participate in this event by shaving their heads. Donation is encouraged, not compulsory, so please do not feel pressured to donate any money.

UPDATE!
Grace Ong just emailed me, for walk-ins shavees, a minimum of $20 donation is required. No donation is required if you registered beforehand. Both walk-ins and registered beforehand shavees will receive T shirt and a goodie bag. Do note that walk-ins T shirt and goodie bags are while stock last.
